Description:
On Saturday, January 29th, 2022, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Las Cruces Downtown
Plaza, local charter schools are coming together for the first time. This inaugural event (“Charter Schools Unique Options in Education”) celebrates excellence in K-12 and adult education. Our community will
enjoy a beautiful program of students’ talent demonstrated through Danza Azteca, Ballet Folklorico, and
Mariachi music. Around the tables, exhibits from each school will show what students do during classes.
Each charter school brings uniqueness to Doña Ana County, and at this event, each school will share
what makes them unique and how they bring that to the students, families, and the surrounding
community. Visitors can expect to walk away knowledgeable about these schools, how to register
students, which schools are hiring, and ways to get involved with what charter schools offer in education
and the local workforce.

learn in a school that targets their interest. The children get to learn all core academics and focus

What you will take away: Charter schools are FREE public schools with a special mission and innovative
approach to education. Diversity is a Core Value of Las Cruces and surrounding areas. Everyone has
something to gain by attending this Charter School Fair. It is a unique opportunity to learn about
options in education for children and adults not limited by district boundaries. During the fair, families,
and caregivers will learn about each school’s specialty, including Bilingualism, Fine Arts, Culture, Science,
and Adult Education, among other outstanding programs ranging from Kindergarten through grade 12.
